NBA 2K14 is a game created by 2K Sports. It costs $7.99 and is available on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Gameplay:
2K Sports is known for delivering the best sports games imaginable. I wouldn’t suspect them to deliver great games for iOS as well, but they have really managed to surprise me with their iOS version of NBA 2K14.
In this game you control a basketball team via passing, shooting and dunking when you play on offense, and blocking when you play on defense. There’s not much else to explain about it. It’s your good-old basketball game.
The Good:
The graphics are amazing on the iPhone 5S. Being able to play with your friends through multiplayer is also a great perk.
The Bad:
The buttons are too small and it’s easy to press the wrong one.
Conclusion:
If you’re into basketball games or basketball in general, then you’re likely to enjoy NBA 2K14.
However, this game has an average rating of 2 ½ stars by 270 users. Many of them are complaining about the game not having any significant updates when compared to last year’s iOS NBA game. Users are also complaining about the removal of play-by-play commentary and no “real franchise/career mode.”
For me, this game is really fun to play with friends. I think $7.99 is a bit overpriced. $3.99 or $4.99 would be a better price for this game. If it ever has a sale with lower prices, then you should take the opportunity and purchase NBA 2K14. At $7.99 though, you might want to pass on it.
