Functionality:
This app comes with over 1000 exercises and workouts, and also features numerous fitness level counters. From a calorie tracking system, to a social network, BMI calculator and blood pressure tracking, this app does it all.
When you first sign up you’ll be asked to enter your weight, age, height and other body metrics. You can even enter in health limitations when working out. If you have a bad knee or shoulder for example, you can let All-in Fitness know that so that it hides the exercises that are strenuous on those areas.
You can find pre-created workouts or create your own using the exercise library. Not to mention that you can also schedule a workout for each day of the year by using All-in Fitness’ calendar system.
All-in Fitness also has a great way of tracking everything about your workouts. When you’re doing your workout the app flips through the exercises you need to do as you complete each one. Before going to the next exercise though, you can log the amount of reps you completed and with the exact weights you used. Basically this app doesn’t just help you put together workout plans, but it also helps track exactly what you do. You can use all of this data to improve your workouts and intensity later on.
The Good:
This app has every single feature and exercise that you would ever need in a fitness app. Each exercise is accompanied by a video or photo, as well as information on how each exercise should be completed.
Possible Improvements:
It would be nice if there was a “create exercise” feature that would allow users to create their own exercises. Maybe the exercise could then be published to the app once approved by the developers, with a label of “User Submitted Exercises.”
Conclusion:
This app is great for anyone that has no idea what they’re doing in the gym, to more advanced gym users that need a better system for keeping track of workouts and nutrition. Since this app can log everything from the exact number of reps and weight you completed, to calorie intake, to blood pressure and BMI, it’s really worth the $3.99 that it costs to purchase. All-in Fitness is a must-have app for anyone with a gym membership that isn’t already a professional weight-lifter or athlete.
