According to a recent Bloomberg business article, Apple is partnering with Shazam to bring song recognition to iOS 8.
This feature is expected to work just like Twitter on iOS works: it’s integrated into the operating system from the day you get your new phone or install iOS 8.

With this new song recognition feature you’ll also be able to ask Siri what song is playing and it will answer with its name. Obviously incorporating Shazam into iOS will boost music sales because it will make it easier to buy songs you heard and liked.
