Gelo is a photo app that adds effects like color overlays, gel lights and many others to your pictures. It’s another photo utility out there in the app store that offers color effects. Gelo specifically aims at color overlays and gel lighting. Simply add a photo in and pick a color from a beautiful array of color palettes with its super clean UI to navigate. You also have other options like tint effect, overlay, and additive mask.
In everyday life I can see this app being useful in certain situations, such as seeing what something may look like in another color. The overlay of gel colors allows you to take a picture of a blank wall for example and fine tune to see a rough idea of what it’d look like in some random color. While its not meant for that it is a good alternative use. However Gelo doesn’t do much in terms of standing out in its competition.
Overall the color picker is what really makes Gelo stand out, offering a variety of colors to choose from and edit to your liking. A full RGB editor is included to find the exact hue of color you want to add to your photo of scenery. Overall, it’s just another effect editor for sure but at one dollar it offers a great amount of color options that photographers will enjoy.
