Flick Home Run is an application created by Infinity Pocket. It costs $.99 and is available on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Objective:
The objective of this game is really simple. Use your finger as a “bat” to hit the ball as far as you can. Flick Home Run is as real as it gets for a batting game controlled by a flicking finger. If you hit the ball on the sides it flies exactly like it would in real life. Similarly if the ball is smacked right in the middle it will fly higher and faster. Flick your finger with accuracy and speed and you’ll get the results you want.
There are ten game modes in this game. Hold on to your hats because this is a mouthful: Minor/Major mode let you hit as many balls as you want to see how far you can get. Multiplayer Mode lets you play with other players in Game Center. Moon-Star mode lets you set record distances with only 9 pitches. Training Mode lets you practice with different pitch styles.
There’s also Bunt Mode in which you have to drop a ball on the target on the floor correctly. This encourages accuracy over speed. There’s also Total Mode in which you play with many different balls from the beginning of the game. Faster & Faster Mode lets you play against only fastballs. Jiant mode pits you against a giant pitcher. Finally there’s Cutter Mode which matches you against cutterballs which are so powerful they can cut your baseball bat.
Some of the modes need to be unlocked first. There’s also a leveling system for your bat which can be improved on power, accuracy, and batting eye through experience points.
The Good:
Flick Home Run provides its players with a lot of entertainment. For just one dollar you’ll be enjoying this game for weeks or months to come.
The Bad:
While playing this game I wasn’t able to find any glitches or shortcomings. It’s actually really fun to play!
Conclusion:
If you’ve played any of the other “Flick” games then you’ll know how great they are. However if you’ve never heard of them before then now is your turn to give them a try. Flick Home Run has over 90,000 reviews with an average of 4 ½ stars. Chances are you’ll love it too.
