NOAA Radar Pro is an app created by Tap Nation. It costs $3.99 (previously $1.99) and is available on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Functionality:
This app lets you track the weather and any other information about it in real time. Using NOAA Radar Pro you can stay on top of storms and hurricane tracks, pressure, humidity, wind speed, visibility details, dewpoint info, sunrise and sunset time, as well as the temperature.
In addition to all of these features, you NOAA Radar Pro also has a 24-hour and 7-day weather forecast for any location you choose. There’s also an icon that once clicked shows you your location on the map.
Using NOAA Radar Pro you can even track precipitation patterns over time. The maps show you weather patterns from the past, present and future, just like a real weather radar would.
The Good:
This app is rated 4 ½ stars by over 3,400 users. NOAA Radar Pro has a beautiful interface and is really reliable. There’s even a share feature which lets you share the weather map through email, Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
The Bad:
When I try to tap on the “>” arrows next to location pins, nothing happens. I’d expect some information tab about the location to open up when the “>” arrow is tapped on. Not to mention that NOAA Radar Pro costs $3.99 now; which is highly overpriced for a radar app.
Conclusion:
If you’d like to keep track of the weather then NOAA Radar Pro might be worth it for $3.99. However there are better alternatives out there such as Radar Cast Pro ($1.99) and other free apps.
