If you’re fed up with the default Safari browser on your iPhone/iPod/iPad, here’s some good news: with the new Chrome app, you can now browse the net using Google Chrome! Based on user reviews on the itunes website, a vast majority of the reviewers prefer Chrome to Safari when it comes to surfing the net on the iPhone/iPod/iPad.
Here are some of the features that many users are liking about the new Google Chrome app:
-fast browsing (many users have reported no discernable difference in speed compared to the default Safari browser)
-enables you to sync bookmarks, passwords, and open tabs with your pc’s chrome browser (as well as other apple devices), when you log into your google account
-supports incognito browsing (your browsing and download histories as well as cookies are all automatically deleted at the end of a browsing session)
-supports voice search
On the flip side, here are some flaws in the app that users have noted:
-Doesn’t support flash
-Can’t set as default browser (Safari remains the default browser)
-Isn’t as fast as Safari because Chrome, being a 3rd party browser, can only use an older version of Safari’s rendering engine
With the Chrome app being free of charge, you’re encouraged to download it from the app store and give it a try.
