If you have downloaded iOS 7 by now, you will have noticed that it comes with a Control Center. This new feature is for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, so it will show up on all of these devices. It allows you to access important features of your iOS device without having to unlock your screen. To do this on your iPad, just tap the Home button and drag your finger up from the bottom bezel.
You can also access the Control Center from within your iPad apps, just by dragging your finger up from the bottom bezel. This makes it quicker and easier to access many important functions on your iPad. From the Control Center on your iPad you can pause, play, fast forward, rewind or adjust the volume to music that is currently playing. You can also use the Control Center to turn your device into Airplane Mode with just a tap. You can enable or disable Wi-Fi, turn the Do Not Disturb feature on or off, mute or un-mute audio, connect Airplay or connect and disconnect Bluetooth.
There are other features you can also access from the Control Center of your iPad including being able to access your clock and camera without having to go to the individual apps. Adjusting the screen’s brightness can also be done from the Control Center panel and making sure your screen brightness is at a lower setting whenever possible will help save your battery so you don’t have to charge it so often.
If you don’t want to use the Control Center or don’t want others to have access to it when your screen is locked, all you have to do is turn it off. To do this, go to Settings, tap Control Center and toggle it off. You can then turn it back on anytime you want.
