If you notice that your iPod Touch randomly shuts off for seemingly no reason, it could be that it is set to auto-lock in order to save energy. To set the options for how you want auto-lock to work, go to Settings and change your IPod Touch to auto-lock less frequently or to never. If this doesn’t do the trick, and your iPod keeps randomly shutting off anyway, try restarting your iPod Touch or restoring it through iTunes. In some cases, it is a problem with your IPod Touch that has to be repaired. However, often times just resetting the auto-lock option, restarting or restoring it will fix the issue.
